Jack’s First Overnight Visit!

Jack is here visiting with his Mommy and her friend from Texas, Karah! Everyone is having a wonderful time except little Jack who is having some stomach issues. Lucky for Jack he has some many loving arms to hold him.  I got to enjoy Jack through the night yesterday and for someone not feeling well he was a really good baby! The girls and I are having a tea this afternoon so I’ll post picture later.  Here the little guy on his one month birthday! Happy Birthday Buddy!

As the afternoon progressed Karah and Tracy went to Solomons Island and then shopping. It was tea for five when they got home. Tracy , Karah, Sara, Jack and I. Can you see Jack enjoying the tea ?  LOL. It was a lovely afternoon spent with three young woman that would make any mother proud!

Reminiscing…

It was a busy weekend, always lots to do around here. If I could just get about five more hours in my day I would be alright. I seemed to get alot more done when I was younger, I think I’m slowing down, LOL. We worked around here on Sat and it was nice to have Sara here to spend a couple of days. Matt went to prom and had a great time on Saturday. On Sunday we headed to my brothers to see his little one make her first communion. She looked lovely and was quite the young lady. I couldn’t help but think back to when the kids were that small and they made their first communions. It seems like a lifetime ago. I miss those years, it seems like every day now seems to go bye so fast I guess thats because they are so busy and filled. The church seemed to be filled with little one or maybe I just noticed them more now that my nest is getting empty. I am truly blessed to have three wonderful children. They have made us proud of the fine young adults they have become. That’s all for now I’m headed to get a box of tissues!

Prom Time For Steph & Matt!

Headed to Prom!

Matt and Steph are headed off to her senior prom! This is an exciting year for Stephanie, senior years only happen once. Have a great time at dinner, prom and your after party!  You are truly a lovely young lady Steph!

To catch a cria…

Back in the barn and all tired outOut in the field

Yesterday when it warned up here, I decided to let Honor and her cria meet the rest of the herd. I let them out into the big pasture and little Star loved it! She was quite the center of attention, she had everyone following behind her. What I didn’t count on was how independent she was. She was not shy about leaving her Mom’s side and exploring every inch of the pasture. Mary, our other black llama took her under her wing as her Mom took a breather. Funny though Star even tried to nurse on Mary and Mary let her try. It was pretty funny. What was not so funny was that Star did not want to go back in the barn. It took me over an hour to round her up and carry her in. It wouldn’t have been a problem but since I tore my rotator cuff socket last week and sprained my arm it was a challange. No more rides on the mule ( our farm cart) with hubby for me! Finally every one was back in their stalls and I sat down and uploaded some more pictures. So enjoy and send tylenol!

Another Day, Another Llama?

New Addition to the farm today!

Star looking for her first meal!Thirty Minutes New!

After post on my blog I ran down to the barn to check on Honor, only to find her in labor ! She was pushing and you could see the feet and nose.  Fifteen minutes later we had a cria! A beautiful little girl! Honor is a pure black llama and her daughter is a lovely suri fibered black girl with white on her chin, forehead and legs! Take a look at those legs! She will be a show stopper if she takes after her Mom and Dad. We will post more pictures soon! Her name will be Magnolia Hill’s Solomons Star or Magnolia Hill’s Southern Star. What do you think? Her Dad’s name is Moonpie and her grandfather’s name is StarCruiser. Since were living in Southern Maryland near Solomons Island we thought we would incorporate it in to her name! One down!
